Chief Operating Officer, Small Luxury Hotels of the World
Richard is Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a unique collection of over 560 independently-minded hotels. His fifteen year tenure has seen him mainly responsible for sales, marketing, digital and reservations, with a team of 100 people worldwide. Richard’s previous hospitality career included positions with IHG, Wyndham and Forte. He started his career as a Promotions Manager for an electronics giant, managing Manchester United FC, Jimmy Tarbuck and mega rock band Bucks Fizz. As a “Gooner”, he has spent last 30 years trying to forget the experience.
