General Manager, Aldwark Manor
In May 2025, Richard was appointed General Manager of Aldwark Manor, a 200 acre estate north of York, which has been the subject of massive investment since 2019, including £12 million spend on the Salus Spa. Prior to this, he was Director of Marketing & Partnerships for Classic Lodges for 13 years after an early career with Best Western and Thistle Hotels. Richard has a deep understanding of the wider travel industry as well as the hotel sector, and is a strong advocate of the marketing role within hotels, as well as smart use of the hotel tech stack and new technology and communication channels.
